Personality sketch with words!

Intricacies of a personality A boy, short and dimple chinned, Lover of simplicity Milk, coffee, cookies and cream! Highly determined, He would only see the eye of the bull During tides and waves, He won't shy to ask for the rule, Loves to try new flavours and food Whether he will dance or not, Shall depend on the mood! Zealous and passionate, Be it codes, badminton or chicken fry; He shall stay up nights, Record videos to understand the smash and its height; The chef within shall not for long, hide He won't give up without a fight! Sincerely he would plan for perfect destinations to fly, Brutally honest but he will not lie Even if that hurts, he won't shy He prefers his casual attire to coat and tie Street food and desi vibe Over dine and wine!

Grown up, am I?

Coloring a colored paper, Aesthetically pretty is what I try to make Color codes that are trending I take Using hashtags and filters the actual image I fake Thinking back of that age, The age where I chose any color I wished to, Tried to discover newer colors by mixing two,  When the conscience became conscious Dwindled my childhood innocence, The color I chose had explanations, Calculated risks I learnt to take Conscious decisions I have to make Judgments  on the decision are made, Somewhere between the messages sent from the heart to the brain There grew an artificial accelerator and a brake!

Happy Birthday,best friend!

In the last 9-10 years that I know her, this will probably be the first birthday without her. 24 th July feels weird as I am not doing any surprise planning. But on such rare days, you get the time to sit back and reflect. We aren’t perfect friends who just admire each other. We still fight and no, not discretely. We fight in parties, we fight in between concerts and we fight for the silliest of the reason. Having said that, hers is always the first ‘I miss you’ message every time I go out of Delhi. We share a world of our own. Since the time we stepped out of our homes and started living on our own- we were never really ‘on our own’. We always had each other. We understood the world together, we formed opinions together, we learnt and un-learnt many things together (Thanks to the somewhat similar upbringing that we both had). And about the years when we were not together – we must have already talked more than once about each and every day of the 10 years before we met each other...

Aarian Woods and how it all began!

I was in class 9 and I remember exactly that day when Deta told us that we have a small plot of land at Sonapur. I was happy to know that there is another picnic place in the family. But, I remember my exact concern. I was not sure if they had time for any other extra work and if after working the entire week they would want to work even in the weekends now. By weekend, I mean only Sunday for them. I am not writing this post because I am their daughter, I am writing as someone who saw this journey very closely and I feel like penning the innumerable reasons why they inspire me so much. So a normal day for this couple would start at 6:30am- they will talk, do yoga, laugh and be personal till 9 am.  I was fed right as a kid that if in case you want to sit with them for a cup of tea or spend some time together- you have to wake up by 7 and they have time only till 9. This rule holds true even today. If I want to have a longer personal phone call- it has to be before 9am. From 9...
